The Vetus BOWB090 thruster provides powerful and proportional thrust for excellent handling of vessels between 36 and 55 ft (11.5–17 m). Its precision control ensures superior docking performance even in narrow marinas, strong wind, or tidal current conditions.
The BOW PRO Boosted system features an integrated DC-to-DC smart charger, enabling safe charging of a 24 V thruster battery bank using a 12 VDC power source. This intelligent three-stage charging process protects the starting battery while ensuring consistent thruster power availability.
Equipped with a brushless induction motor, the system is fully maintenance-free and supports extended operating cycles. The patented MCV motor controller optimizes thrust performance, while V-CAN CANBUS connectivity ensures smooth communication with Vetus control panels and supporting electronics. Integrated safeguards protect against overheating and low-voltage operation.
Retrofit installation is straightforward thanks to compatibility with Ø 185 mm tunnels used by Vetus and other major thruster manufacturers.
