The Vetus BOWB065 thruster provides powerful proportional control for both bow and stern maneuvering, delivering excellent performance for vessels between 27 and 40 ft (8–12.5 m). Docking and navigation in tight spaces become effortless, even under challenging weather or current conditions.
This BOW PRO Boosted model integrates a built-in DC-to-DC smart charger, making it possible to charge a 24 V thruster battery bank using a 12 VDC power supply. The intelligent three-stage charging process activates only when safe to do so, protecting the engine starter battery and ensuring efficient power management during operation.
Powered by a brushless induction motor, the thruster is fully maintenance-free and supports extended runtime. The patented MCV motor controller, combined with V-CAN CANBUS connectivity, enables seamless integration with Vetus control panels and ensures precise thrust regulation, plus built-in safety protection from overheating and low voltage.
Installation is simplified thanks to compatibility with commonly used Ø 185 mm tunnels from Vetus and other thruster brands, making it a strong upgrade option for existing systems.
