Vetus BOWB285 BOW PRO Boosted Fully Proportional Brushless Bow Thruster 285 kgf, 24/48V, Ø 300 mm Tunnel
The Vetus BOWB285 is engineered for larger vessels that require smooth, dependable maneuvering in demanding berthing environments. With a powerful 285 kgf thrust output, it ensures confident handling in winds, currents, and confined marinas for boats from 50 to 75 ft (16–22 m).
Its integrated Boosted DC-to-DC smart charging function allows a 48 V thruster supply to be charged from a 24 V onboard network. The intelligent 3-stage charging cycle activates only under safe voltage conditions to prevent draining the starting battery system while maintaining perfect thruster battery availability.
The brushless induction motor provides a maintenance-free service life and enables extended runtime. The patented MCV motor controller manages thrust performance and system protection and communicates via V-CAN CANBUS with Vetus control panel systems to ensure precise, fully proportional steering response when docking.
Installation is simplified thanks to compatibility with standard Vetus Ø 300 mm tunnels and retrofit-friendly mounting geometry.
