The Vetus BOWB210 provides high thrust output with smooth, proportional control to meet the demands of larger vessels from 50 to 75 ft (16–22 m). It enables confident maneuvering in crowded marinas, strong tidal streams, and challenging crosswind docking conditions.
Integrated DC-to-DC Boost Charging provides a major installation advantage: a 48 V thruster battery bank can be efficiently charged from a 24 V auxiliary system. The smart three-stage charging routine monitors supply voltage and activates only under safe conditions, preventing drain of the engine starting bank while maintaining optimal thruster battery health.
The brushless induction motor ensures maintenance-free operation and supports extended runtime capability. The patented MCV motor controller manages all thruster system functions and protection diagnostics, while V-CAN communication enables seamless integration with compatible Vetus control panels and onboard systems.
Designed for retrofit flexibility, the thruster aligns with standard 250 mm tunnel dimensions used by Vetus and many other manufacturers.
