It measures humidity from 0 to 100% RH with 0.04% RH resolution and typical ±2% RH accuracy from 20 to 80% RH, while air temperature measurement covers -40 to +120°C with 0.01°C resolution and typical ±0.3°C accuracy from +5 to +60°C. The unit operates from 7–16 V, consumes 23 mA, weighs 62 g and uses an NMEA 2000 Micro Male connector.

The Yacht Devices YDHS-01N is a digital humidity and temperature sensor designed for NMEA 2000 marine electronics networks. It provides compatible chart plotters and instrument displays with relative humidity, air temperature and calculated dew point temperature data.
The sensor is designed for plug-and-play installation directly on an NMEA 2000 backbone. It can be used for weather monitoring, fog prediction, cabin comfort monitoring, moisture and condensation detection in lockers, and mold prevention applications.

NMEA 2000 Integration
The YDHS-01N connects directly to an NMEA 2000 bus without requiring a drop cable. Measurement data is available to compatible equipment connected to the network and can be displayed simultaneously on multiple chart plotters and digital navigation instruments.
The device can be configured to report measurements as either inside or outside air temperature and humidity. Data instances can also be configured when multiple sensors are installed on the same network.

Historical Data
The sensor stores humidity and air temperature measurements from the previous 24 hours in internal RAM. Historical data can be retrieved using compatible software or hardware.
Digital Switching Support
With firmware version 1.50 or later, the YDHS-01N can control compatible NMEA 2000 digital switching channels using PGN 127502 Switch Bank Control. Switching conditions can be based on measured air temperature, relative humidity or the difference between actual temperature and calculated dew point.

Configuration
The sensor is factory calibrated. Temperature and humidity offsets from -10.0 to +10.0°C or % RH can be configured to align readings with other onboard instruments when required.
Installation Recommendations
- Install the sensor in a well-ventilated location away from wet surfaces
- Do not install the sensor in direct sunlight
- Avoid locations where the sensor can be flooded, sprayed or exposed to rain
- Minimize thermal transfer from heated vessel structures
- Install the sensor vertically with the membrane end pointing toward the deck
- Minimum outer cable bend diameter: 30 mm
