J1708 Interface
J1708 is a two-wire serial communication interface operating at 9600 bit/s. The gateway receives supported engine data through the J1708 interface and converts it into corresponding NMEA 2000 messages.
The device is equipped with a TE Connectivity 1-350344-0 female connector at the end of the J1708 cable and is supplied with a disassembled TE Connectivity 1-350345-0 male connector with two pins for creating an engine-specific connection when required.

MicroSD Configuration

Installation
The YDES-04R is equipped with a Raymarine SeaTalk NG-compatible connector and is powered directly from the NMEA 2000 network. The device should be installed in a dry location, and all electrical connections should be made with network power switched off.
The total J1708 network length should not exceed 40 m. For extended J1708 connections, twisted-pair wiring is required, and shielded cable is recommended where the cable runs near sources of electromagnetic interference.
