Lewmar VX1L GO & VX1L GD Vertical Anchor Windlass Kits 12V – 500W & 800W, for 6/7 mm & 8 mm DIN766 Chain
The Lewmar VX1L series is a compact vertical anchor windlass designed with the motor positioned below deck, maximizing available storage space while maintaining a clean deck layout. Constructed from AISI 316 stainless steel with durable composite components, the VX1L combines compact dimensions with dependable anchoring performance.
The series is available in GO (Gypsy Only) and GD (Gypsy with Drum/Capstan) configurations. All models feature an efficient in-line motor with worm gear gearbox, manual clutch release, IP67 motor protection, integrated magnet and chain counter sensor (02.355.20), and stainless steel deck components. The mounting dimensions are identical to the Lewmar V700, simplifying upgrades and replacements.
Depending on the selected version, the VX1L is equipped with either a 500 W or 800 W 12 V motor and is compatible with 6/7 mm or 8 mm DIN766 chain with 12–16 mm rope. Every kit includes the deck unit, motor/gearbox, relay (solenoid), chain drive and chain counter sensor. Dashboard switch and circuit breaker are supplied separately.
