The Maxwell RC10-10 is a fully automatic vertical rope/chain anchor windlass from the Maxwell RC Series, positioned in the upper mid-range of the lineup. Designed for secure and efficient anchoring, this model is suitable for cruising yachts and powerboats operating in demanding marine conditions.
Constructed from marine-grade AISI 316 stainless steel and chromed bronze, the RC10-10 delivers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The patented Wave Design™ chainwheel, together with a heavy-duty stainless steel pressure arm and preloaded spring system, ensures positive control of rope, chain, and the rope-to-chain splice during anchoring operations.
This capstan version is equipped with a fluted stainless steel drum, enabling independent rope handling operations in addition to standard anchor deployment and retrieval. The low-profile 100 TDC configuration allows compact deck installation, while the spacer tube system and self-aligning gearbox support installation through a wide range of deck thicknesses.

Operational Notes
- The windlass must be used in conjunction with a chain stopper and/or alternative snubbing device to remove load from the windlass while at anchor.
- A chain stopper or alternative snubbing system must also be used to secure the anchor in the fully raised position while the vessel is under way.
