Vetus Zinc Shaft Collar Anodes – Metric Ø25–60 mm & Inch 1–2"
The Vetus zinc shaft collar anodes are split sacrificial anodes designed for cathodic protection of marine propeller shafts. The two-piece construction allows the anode to be installed around the shaft without removing it.
The range includes ZINKAS models for metric shaft diameters from 25 to 60 mm and ZASA models for imperial shaft sizes from 1" to 2". Depending on size, the two halves are secured with either two or four bolts.

Construction and Application
- Material: Zinc, MIL-A-18001K
- Design: Split two-piece shaft collar
- Application: Marine propeller shafts
- Mounting: 2 or 4 bolts depending on size
- Metric Range: Ø25–60 mm shafts
- Imperial Range: 1"–2" shafts
Shaft collar anodes are not recommended for high-speed vessels because water-flow turbulence and uneven anode wear can contribute to shaft imbalance. For these applications, a propeller nut with an integrated sacrificial anode is preferable.
