Vetus connection kits for installation of V-Quipment bolt-on hull anodes. ZKITS is designed for steel hulls and uses an M10 stud mounting system, while ZKITP is intended for GRP, fibreglass and wooden hulls with through-hull M10 mounting and electrical connection to the underwater metal components being protected. Type 8 anodes require one connection kit, while Types 15, 15S, 25, 25S and 35 require two kits.

Vetus Anode Connection Kits for Bolt-On Hull Anodes – Steel, GRP & Wooden Hulls
The Vetus anode connection kits are designed for mounting V-Quipment bolt-on hull anodes. Two versions are available for different hull constructions: ZKITS for steel hulls and ZKITP for GRP, fibreglass and wooden hulls.
Both systems use M10 mounting and allow the sacrificial anode to be removed and replaced when worn without replacing the complete mounting arrangement.

ZKITS – Steel Hull Installation
The ZKITS connection kit is used for installing bolt-on anodes on steel hulls. The mounting studs are attached to the steel hull, allowing the anode to be secured with M10 fasteners and easily replaced when consumed.
ZKITP – GRP and Wooden Hull Installation
The ZKITP connection kit is designed for GRP, fibreglass and wooden hulls. The M10 mounting bolts pass through the hull and provide secure mechanical fixation of the anode.
Because only the underwater metal components require cathodic protection on non-metal hulls, an electrical connection must be made between the mounting system and the metal parts being protected. The installation uses an AISI 304 through-hull fastener and a copper wire connection to the protected components.
