The Tecnoseal 01022, 01022/1, 01021 and 01028 are zinc sacrificial propeller nut anodes designed for compatible GORI propeller assemblies. These replacement components correspond to original GORI part numbers 14072100, 14073100, 14074100 and 14074511, covering propeller size ranges from 15 to 30 inches.

The anodes feature a compact, rounded triangular body with a central recessed fastening opening. Their shape is designed to accommodate the corresponding GORI propeller mounting arrangement while providing a replaceable zinc sacrificial component. The zinc material corrodes preferentially when electrically connected to the protected underwater metallic components, helping reduce galvanic corrosion.

Four sizes are available to match different propeller configurations. The smaller versions measure 27 mm across dimension (l) and 16 mm in height, while the larger versions measure up to 44 mm across and 33 mm in height. The central fastening and recessed opening diameters vary between models, making correct selection of the original GORI reference particularly important.

The inch measurements refer to the compatible propeller sizes and should not be interpreted as shaft diameters. Before ordering, verify the original GORI part reference and the mounting dimensions of the existing anode.

Design and Mounting Configuration

The anodes have a rounded triangular outer profile with a centrally positioned fastening opening. The sectional drawing shows a recessed hole arrangement designed to accommodate the corresponding mounting hardware.

Although the four variants share a similar external design, their dimensions differ. The two smaller versions, 01022 and 01022/1, both measure 27 mm across dimension (l) and 16 mm in height, but have different central hole diameters of 8.5 mm and 6 mm respectively.

The larger 01021 measures 33 mm across and 20 mm in height, while the 01028 measures 44 mm across and 33 mm in height. The recessed opening diameters also increase across the series, from 12 mm to 14 mm.

These differences are important when identifying the correct replacement. Select the anode using its original GORI part number and confirm the fastening geometry before installation.

Galvanic Corrosion Protection

Manufactured from zinc, the Tecnoseal GORI propeller nut anodes act as sacrificial corrosion protection components. The zinc material is intended to corrode preferentially, helping protect electrically connected underwater metallic components of compatible propeller assemblies against galvanic corrosion.

Zinc sacrificial anodes are commonly used in saltwater environments. The suitability of the material should be checked against the vessel's operating conditions and the propeller manufacturer's recommendations.

Inspection and Replacement

Inspect the anode regularly during routine propeller maintenance. Replace it when the sacrificial material is significantly consumed or when the fastening arrangement is no longer secure.

Before installation, verify the mounting geometry, check the condition of the fastening surfaces and ensure suitable electrical contact between the anode and the metallic component requiring protection.
