The Tecnoseal 01025 and 01024 are zinc sacrificial collar anodes designed for GORI 3-blade Saildrive propellers. They correspond to original GORI part numbers 15527500 and 15539500 respectively, providing replacement corrosion protection components for two different propeller size ranges.

Both anodes feature a curved, split-collar construction with fastening holes positioned around the body. This configuration allows the collar to be mounted around the corresponding section of a compatible GORI propeller assembly. The zinc material acts as a sacrificial element, helping protect electrically connected underwater metallic components against galvanic corrosion.

The smaller Tecnoseal 01025 is specified for GORI 3-blade Saildrive propellers measuring 15–16.5 inches. It has a length of 81 mm, a width of 24 mm, a mounting dimension (i) of 56 mm and a weight of 0.36 kg. The larger Tecnoseal 01024 fits 18–20 inch propellers, with a length of 95 mm, width of 34 mm, mounting dimension (i) of 59 mm and weight of 0.92 kg.

GORI Propeller Compatibility

These Tecnoseal collar anodes are intended for GORI 3-blade propellers installed on Saildrive systems. Each variant is designed for a specific propeller size range:

Design and Mounting Configuration

Both anodes feature a curved collar profile with a split construction and mounting holes for fastening around the corresponding propeller component. Although they share a similar design, their physical dimensions and fastening geometry differ.

The smaller 01025 has a length of 81 mm, width of 24 mm and mounting dimension of 56 mm, with hole dimensions Ø = 12 mm and Ø1 = 6 mm. The larger 01024 measures 95 mm in length and 34 mm in width, with a mounting dimension of 59 mm and hole dimensions Ø = 13 mm and Ø1 = 6.50 mm.

These measurements should be checked against the existing collar anode to ensure the correct replacement is selected. The two versions should not be treated as dimensionally interchangeable.

Galvanic Corrosion Protection

Manufactured from zinc, both Tecnoseal collar anodes function as sacrificial corrosion protection components. When electrically connected to the relevant underwater metallic parts, the zinc corrodes preferentially, helping reduce galvanic corrosion of the propeller assembly.

Zinc anodes are commonly used for corrosion protection in saltwater environments. Material suitability should be checked against the vessel's operating conditions and the propeller manufacturer's recommendations.

Inspection and Replacement

Inspect the collar anode regularly during propeller maintenance. Replace it when the sacrificial material has become significantly depleted or when the mounting arrangement no longer allows secure attachment.

During replacement, verify the mounting surfaces, fastening hole positions and electrical contact with the metallic component requiring protection.
