The Vetus ZWB35A Flexible Inner Bearing is engineered for superior shaft sealing performance in marine propulsion systems. Designed for 35 mm propeller shafts and 56 mm stern tubes, it combines advanced sealing technology with durable bronze construction to ensure reliability and long-lasting protection against water ingress.

This unit incorporates dual vulcanized sealing lips that provide double security against leaks, while its self-aligning bearing design maintains a perfect seal even with minor shaft misalignments. The two-part bronze housing includes a Ø10 mm hose barb for continuous water supply, ensuring optimal lubrication and cooling of the bearing during operation. A grease nipple allows the application of silicone grease for added sealing efficiency and extended service life.

To maintain proper lubrication and cooling, a minimum of 20 liters of water per hour is required. Water can be supplied from the engine’s cooling system or a dedicated hull inlet. For vessels exceeding 12 knots, an external water feed is recommended, while for slower boats, the hose may be routed above the waterline to function as a vent. This design guarantees consistent lubrication and prevents dry operation of the bearing.
