The Vetus ZWB60 Flexible Inner Bearing is a precision-engineered bronze sealing unit for 60 mm propeller shafts and 90 mm stern tubes. It delivers outstanding reliability, superior sealing performance, and minimal maintenance requirements, making it a preferred solution for both recreational and commercial marine applications.

The assembly features a self-aligning bearing with dual vulcanized sealing lips that ensure double protection against water ingress. Its durable bronze housing consists of two components — one fitted with a Ø10 mm hose barb for continuous water supply, providing essential lubrication and cooling for the water-lubricated bearing. A grease nipple located at the top allows the sealing lips to be lubricated with silicone grease for extended durability and consistent performance.

To maintain proper lubrication, a minimum of 20 liters of water per hour must be supplied, ideally from the engine’s cooling system or a dedicated hull inlet. For vessels operating above 12 knots, an external water feed is recommended. For slower vessels, the hose may be routed above the waterline to act as a vent. This ensures stable water flow, continuous cooling, and reliable shaft sealing at all speeds.
