The Vetus ZWBH25 Flexible Inner Bearing represents the next generation of shaft sealing technology for 25 mm propeller shafts and 43 mm stern tubes. Designed for water-lubricated stern gear systems, this advanced monoblock seal features a triple lip sealing system for enhanced watertight performance, long life, and reliable protection under demanding marine conditions.

Constructed from high-quality 65–70 Shore NBR rubber, the ZWBH25 combines flexibility with excellent resistance to oils, grease, and seawater. Its design absorbs vibrations and shaft movements, preventing premature wear. The integrated Ø10 mm vulcanized brass hose pillar ensures a consistent water supply for lubrication and cooling, maintaining seal integrity even at high speeds or extended operation.

For optimal performance, a minimum water flow of 20 liters per hour should be supplied, preferably from the engine’s cooling system or a dedicated hull inlet. For vessels exceeding 12 knots, external water feed is recommended. In slower craft, the hose may be routed above the waterline to act as a vent. The seal can withstand temperatures between -15°C and +85°C, ensuring dependable operation across all climates. Vetus recommends annual lubrication with silicone grease for maximum service life.

The ZWBH25 is suitable for bronze, steel, and GRP stern tubes and includes two stainless steel hose clamps and silicone grease for quick, reliable installation and maintenance.
