The Maxwell RC12-10 is a fully automatic vertical rope/chain anchor windlass and represents the top-range model within the Maxwell RC Series. Designed for larger cruising yachts and powerboats, it combines high pulling capacity with controlled, smooth anchor handling in demanding offshore conditions.
Manufactured from marine-grade AISI 316 stainless steel, the RC12-10 offers excellent corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The patented Wave Design™ chainwheel ensures secure handling of chain and rope, smooth passage of the rope-to-chain splice, and extended service life of the anchor rode.
Driven by a powerful 1200 W motor operating on a 24 V DC supply, this windlass delivers a maximum pull of 1134 kg and a static holding capacity of 2200 kg. The compact vertical configuration with a low-profile 90 TDC deck clearance allows efficient use of foredeck space while maintaining exceptional anchoring performance.

Operational Notes
- The windlass must be used in conjunction with a chain stopper and/or alternative snubbing device to remove load from the windlass while at anchor.
- A chain stopper or alternative snubbing system must also be used to secure the anchor in the fully raised position while the vessel is under way.
