The Maxwell RC12-10 is a fully automatic vertical rope/chain anchor windlass and represents the top-range model within the Maxwell RC Series. Designed for larger cruising yachts and powerboats, it combines high pulling power with controlled, smooth anchor handling for demanding offshore applications.
Manufactured entirely from marine-grade AISI 316 stainless steel, the RC12-10 offers exceptional corrosion resistance and long-term durability. The patented Wave Design™ chainwheel ensures secure grip of both chain and rope, smooth passage of the rope-to-chain splice, and extended service life of the anchor rode.
Driven by a powerful 1200 W motor operating on a 12 V DC supply, this windlass delivers a maximum pull of 1134 kg and a static holding capacity of 2200 kg. The compact vertical configuration with a low-profile deck installation allows efficient use of deck space while maintaining high performance.

Operational Notes
- The windlass must be used in conjunction with a chain stopper and/or alternative snubbing device to remove load from the windlass while at anchor.
- A chain stopper or alternative snubbing system should also be used to secure the anchor in the fully raised position while the vessel is under way.
