Tecnoseal Sen-Dure zinc pencil anodes are complete sacrificial anode assemblies designed for compatible marine cooling systems and heat exchangers. Each model combines a cylindrical zinc anode with a brass mounting plug, helping protect metallic components exposed to cooling water against galvanic corrosion.

The range includes ten models, from TEC-SD1 to TEC-SD10, offering different zinc rod diameters, lengths and threaded mounting connections. The smallest zinc rod measures 6.35 mm in diameter, while the largest versions have a 16 mm diameter. Rod lengths range from 12.7 to 63 mm, allowing selection according to the dimensions of the original component.

Model Selection

Select the appropriate Tecnoseal Sen-Dure anode by comparing the original component's zinc rod diameter, length, mounting thread and brass plug head dimension.

The TEC-SD1 uses a 1/8" NPT thread, while TEC-SD2 through TEC-SD6 feature 1/4" NPT connections. The TEC-SD7 and TEC-SD8 use 3/8" NPT threads, and the larger TEC-SD9 and TEC-SD10 have 1/2" NPT mounting connections.

Models sharing the same thread size may have different zinc rod dimensions and brass plug head sizes. They should not be considered interchangeable without verifying the existing installation.

NPT threads are tapered and must not be confused with parallel NPS or BSPP threads. Confirm both the thread type and size before ordering.
