Tecnoseal Caterpillar pencil anodes with brass plugs are designed to protect marine engine heat exchangers and cooling system components against galvanic corrosion. Each complete assembly combines a replaceable sacrificial anode rod with a brass mounting plug, providing a convenient replacement for compatible Caterpillar marine engine installations.

The range includes 14 configurations with different anode diameters, lengths and mounting connections. Most models feature zinc sacrificial rods, while the 02027TAL version is made from aluminium. The cylindrical anode bodies measure between 9 and 28 mm in diameter and between 20 and 76 mm in length.

The brass plugs feature external connections including BSPT tapered pipe threads and UNF threaded versions. Available head dimensions range from 10 to 25 mm, depending on the model. Model Selection

Select the correct assembly by matching the Caterpillar original part number, sacrificial rod diameter and length, external brass plug thread and head dimensions. Similar anode sizes may have different mounting connections, and BSPT tapered pipe threads must not be confused with straight UNF threads.

The 02027T and 02027TAL models share the same rod dimensions and brass plug specifications but differ in sacrificial anode material. Select zinc or aluminium according to the requirements of the cooling system and the intended replacement specification.
