Tecnoseal Caterpillar pencil anodes are replacement sacrificial anodes designed for marine engine heat exchangers and cooling systems. They help protect internal metallic components against galvanic corrosion by providing a replaceable sacrificial element in contact with cooling water.

The range includes 17 models with different body diameters, lengths and mounting connections. Zinc versions are available in multiple sizes, alongside the aluminium 02027AL model. Each anode features a cylindrical body with an integrated mounting extension for installation into a compatible existing fitting.

The anodes measure between 9 and 28 mm in diameter and 20 to 76 mm in body length. Mounting extensions range from 8 to 20 mm, with UNC and UNF thread options including 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16", 5/8" and 3/4". The 02020 and 02021-2 models have mounting dimensions specified in millimetres rather than a named thread.

Selected models also correspond to Osculati replacement references, including 43.228.29, 43.228.30, 43.229.13, 43.228.91, 43.228.00, 43.229.09 and 43.229.08.

Individual weights range from 0.01 to 0.24 kg, depending on the model. These replacement anodes are supplied without brass mounting plugs.

Model Selection

Select the correct pencil anode by matching the Caterpillar original part number or corresponding Osculati cross-reference, anode body diameter, body length, mounting extension length and thread specification.

Models with similar dimensions may have different thread types or mounting lengths. In particular, the 02024-2 and 02028 versions both measure 16 × 41 mm but use different mounting connections. The 02027 and 02027AL models share the same dimensions and thread but differ in material.
