The Tecnoseal 00437 is a zinc sacrificial propeller anode designed for Riva Splendida and Riva Splendida Piccola yacht propeller assemblies. It provides galvanic corrosion protection for compatible underwater metallic components by acting as a replaceable sacrificial element.

The anode features a tapered cylindrical body with a rounded upper profile and a recessed internal mounting cavity. Measuring 140 mm (5.51 in) in outside diameter and 125 mm (4.92 in) in overall height, it incorporates an internal mounting diameter of 93 mm (Ø2). Additional mounting dimensions include Ø1 = 13 mm, Ø3 = 26 mm and Ø4 = 10.50 mm. The manufacturer's drawing also specifies dimension i = 110 mm. Manufactured from zinc, the anode weighs 7.05 kg (15.54 lbs).

Design and Mounting Configuration

The Tecnoseal 00437 incorporates a tapered outer profile with a recessed mounting cavity formed into the lower section of the anode. The internal geometry includes a 93 mm mounting diameter (Ø2), together with additional diameters of 13 mm (Ø1), 26 mm (Ø3) and 10.50 mm (Ø4).

These measurements define the anode's mounting arrangement and should be compared with the existing Riva propeller anode before replacement. Particular attention should be paid to the internal recess geometry, outside diameter and overall height to ensure the correct fit.

Corrosion Protection and Maintenance

Made from zinc, the Tecnoseal 00437 is designed to corrode preferentially, helping protect electrically connected underwater metallic propeller components against galvanic corrosion. The anode should be inspected periodically for material consumption and replaced when significantly depleted.

During installation, ensure suitable electrical contact between the sacrificial anode and the metallic component requiring protection.
