This model features a 12 V DC, 1200 W motor with clockwise (CW) rotation and a 90 TDC chainwheel, combined with an integrated drum for additional rope handling versatility. It is engineered for reliable anchor deployment and retrieval in marine anchoring operations.
The windlass incorporates Maxwell’s automatic rope/chain handling design, enabling smooth transition between rope and chain during operation. A ratcheted mechanism lever prevents backwinding during emergency manual retrieval of the anchor rode, enhancing operational safety.
For safe and correct use, this windlass should be employed with a chain stopper and/or alternative snubbing device to relieve load from the windlass while the vessel is at anchor.
