The Vetus ZWBH30 Flexible Inner Bearing is a premium-grade shaft seal designed for 30 mm propeller shafts and 49.5 mm stern tubes. Developed for water-lubricated stern gear systems, it features an enhanced monoblock design with three vulcanized lip seals that deliver outstanding protection against water ingress, superior flexibility, and low maintenance requirements.

Manufactured from 65–70 Shore NBR rubber, the ZWBH30 offers exceptional resilience, vibration absorption, and resistance to oil and grease. The integrated Ø10 mm brass hose pillar enables continuous water injection for lubrication and cooling, ensuring long-lasting seal performance even under extended use. This model is ideal for both recreational and professional vessels requiring dependable and quiet shaft sealing.

To ensure optimal performance, a minimum water flow of 20 liters per hour must be supplied—preferably from the engine’s cooling system or a dedicated hull inlet. For boats exceeding 12 knots, an external water feed is strongly recommended. On slower vessels, routing the hose above the waterline allows it to function as a vent. The seal can withstand temperatures between -15°C and +85°C, providing reliable operation across all environments. Vetus advises annual lubrication with silicone grease to maintain optimal sealing performance.

The ZWBH30 is suitable for bronze, steel, and GRP stern tubes and is supplied complete with two stainless steel hose clamps and silicone grease for installation and maintenance.
