The Vetus STE7512D retractable thruster increases agility for shallow draft vessels and sailing yachts with raised sterns or cutaway forefoots. The thruster deploys when needed to provide 80 kgf thrust and retracts automatically after 15 minutes of inactivity or when switched off, eliminating drag during cruising. A permanently lubricated pivot bearing ensures long service life with minimal moving components.
The short duct around the propeller creates concentrated water flow with low energy loss. Electronic safeguarding prevents overload and swing jamming, while a delay in thrust direction switching protects the internal gears.
