The Vetus BOW95HMD hydraulic thruster provides 95 kgf thrust for powerful manoeuvring on a wide range of vessels. Designed for installation in Ø185 mm tunnels, it is compatible with GRP, aluminum, and steel hulls and can also be set up as a stern thruster for improved handling.
Hydraulic drive technology ensures high reliability and continuous operation without the limitations of electrical duty cycles. With no electrical wiring near the thruster or pump, installation and maintenance complexity are reduced, while operational safety and endurance are increased.
Proportional control options enable precision manoeuvring when required. The thruster may be connected directly to an existing onboard hydraulic system or powered independently via a diesel power pack featuring its own hydraulic pump. This configuration reduces the load on generator and battery systems, making installation flexible and efficient.
