The Vetus BOW310HMD hydraulic thruster delivers powerful 310 kgf thrust for large vessel manoeuvrability. Its continuous operating capability ensures constant performance for demanding navigation conditions. Compatible with Ø300 mm tunnels in GRP, steel, and aluminum hulls, this model can also be mounted as a stern thruster for complete manoeuvring control.
A hydraulic power system eliminates high-current electrical wiring near the thruster, improving system safety and reducing installation complexity. Proportional control options allow refined thrust management where necessary. This thruster may operate from an onboard hydraulic system or an optional diesel-driven power pack with its own hydraulic pump.
By powering essential functions hydraulically, total onboard electrical demand is reduced, allowing for more efficient vessel system design and reduced generator set requirements. The ease of integration enables smooth upgrading for vessels requiring enhanced and reliable thrusting performance.
