It can be locked either watertight or in a ventilation position. External dimensions: 559 × 429 mm. Equipped with 3 hinges and 2 handles.

The Vetus MAG5038SL Magnus deck hatch is engineered for use on ocean-going vessels, compliant with CE Category A1 standards for Area I applications. This heavy-duty hatch is suitable for installation on any part of the hull or deck where reliable seaworthy access, ventilation, and safety are required.
Its satin sheen anodized aluminium frame provides excellent corrosion resistance, while the 10 mm dark-smoke acrylic framed pane ensures durability and reduced glare onboard. Three friction hinges allow the hatch to be held open at any angle up to 180° without support struts. The two-handle system supports opening and closing from inside or outside, with secure locking either fully watertight or in a ventilation position.
