The Vetus MAG4747SL Magnus hatch is engineered for ocean-class applications and carries CE Category A1 approval, allowing installation on any part of the hull or deck. Its heavy-duty construction features a satin sheen anodized aluminium frame and a 10 mm thick dark smoke acrylic pane, providing strength, weather resistance and reduced glare.
Three friction hinges support the lid throughout a wide 0°–180° opening range, keeping it open at any position without support struts. The hatch can be operated internally and externally and locked either watertight or slightly open to maintain ventilation. The flush design minimizes obstructions and enhances safety and accessibility in escape scenarios.
