The Vetus BOWB385 is designed for the highest-performing luxury and commercial vessels. Delivering 385 kgf of fully proportional thrust, it provides exceptional handling when docking large yachts and superyachts between 30 and 35 metres, even under strong environmental forces.
Equipped with an integrated smart DC/DC charger, the system safely charges a 48 V thruster battery bank from a 24 V onboard supply. The intelligent, three-stage charging profile eliminates the risk of draining essential starting batteries while ensuring full thruster readiness at all times.
The patented MCV motor controller enables refined lock-and-hold capability, offering smooth and accurate thrust modulation for precise vessel alignment in harbors and tight fairways. V-CAN digital communication ensures advanced integration with Vetus proportional control stations.
The brushless induction motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling extended runtime and drastically reducing service needs. The retrofit-friendly design aligns with existing Ø 400 mm tunnel dimensions for simplified installation on refit and upgrade projects.
