Yacht Devices YDVR-04N - Voyage Recorder NMEA 2000 Micro Male
Record and preserve valuable data from your voyages with the Yacht Devices YDVR-04N Voyage Recorder. This device allows you to collect GPS tracks, wind, depth, temperature, AIS, and other important data that flows through the network backbone during all your sailing adventures in the season.
Never again forget the excitement of memorable moments during your voyages. With the YDVR-04N, you can have proof of strong winds, intense storms, and challenging conditions. Additionally, you can accumulate data for future voyages, analyze your races, generate detailed logbooks, and diagnose any potential problems.
The YDVR-04N is designed to store data from the onboard network of your vessel on a MicroSD memory card. Typical cruise yachts have a wide range of data available on their onboard network, including information about position, course, speed, depth, water temperature, log, wind speed and direction, AIS data of nearby vessels, and even digital data from the motor, water and fuel tanks, battery level, and more.
This recorder writes all network data onto the memory card without analyzing it. The analysis of the data is left to the software application that runs on your personal computer. As a result, the YDVR-04N supports all message types broadcast through the network by any other equipment present on your vessel's network. You can refer to the list of data types already supported for more information.
In addition to all the features of the previous model (YDVR-03), the new YDVR-04N model also includes an audio input. This allows you to record audio from a VHF line out (and from the speaker output of some models) or microphone amplifier output. The audio data is stored in standard audio files with a .WAV extension, which can be played by virtually all software.
The YDVR Converter software, which comes with the recorder, is installed on your personal computer. It enables you to generate GPX and CSV files containing the vessel's track and extensive information about the sailing conditions. This includes weather, depth, engine details, and even tracks of nearby vessels with AIS. GPX files can be viewed in Google Earth, Garmin MapSource, and other cartographic applications. They can also be loaded into newer models of Garmin and Raymarine chartplotters. CSV files can be opened in spreadsheet applications like Microsoft Excel or LibreOffice Calc to visualize data using charts and create graphic reports.
