The Yacht Devices YDTC-13RT is a digital marine thermometer with a Raymarine SeaTalk NG Female Terminator connector and integrated 120 Ohm network termination, designed to measure gas and liquid temperatures from -55 to +125°C (-67 to +257°F). It uses an external sensor in a sealed stainless-steel sleeve on a 950 mm flexible cable that can be extended up to 100 m, provides 0.01°C NMEA 2000 output resolution, and has a maximum measurement error of ±0.5°C from -10 to +85°C and ±2°C outside that range. The unit operates from 7–16 V, consumes 24 mA and weighs 31 g.

The Yacht Devices YDTC-13RT is a digital marine thermometer designed for precise temperature measurement in SeaTalk NG and NMEA 2000 networks. It measures gases and liquids over a range from -55 to +125°C (-67 to +257°F) and transmits temperature data to compatible chart plotters, digital navigation instruments and other onboard equipment.
The YDTC-13RT version is equipped with a Raymarine SeaTalk NG Female Terminator connector and contains an integrated 120 Ohm termination resistor. It is designed to replace an existing terminator at the end of the NMEA 2000 / SeaTalk NG bus while also providing temperature measurement at the same network connection point.

Built-In SeaTalk NG Terminator
The YDTC-13RT includes a built-in 120 Ohm terminator and must be connected to the network in place of an existing terminator. NMEA 2000 networks use two 120 Ohm terminators installed at the ends of the bus.

NMEA 2000 Data Output
The thermometer can transmit measured temperature through several NMEA 2000 PGNs depending on the selected temperature type and the capabilities of the connected display equipment.

The periodic transmission interval can be configured from 50 milliseconds to 1 hour. Setting the interval to 0 disables transmission of the selected PGN.
Historical Temperature Data
The device stores measurements from the previous 48 hours in internal RAM. Historical temperature data can be retrieved using compatible software or hardware.
Digital Switching Support
With firmware version 1.50 or later, the YDTC-13RT can control channels of compatible NMEA 2000 digital switching equipment supporting PGN 127502 Switch Bank Control.

Sensor Cable Extension
The standard 950 mm sensor cable can be extended by the user up to 100 meters. A three-conductor extension cable with a conductor cross-section of at least 0.2 mm² and conductor diameter of at least 0.5 mm is recommended.

The extended sensor cable should be routed away from strong electromagnetic interference sources such as motors, compressors, generators, electric pumps and transmitting antennas.
Installation
The YDTC-13RT must be installed at the end of the SeaTalk NG / NMEA 2000 bus in place of an existing terminator. The device connects directly to the network without a drop cable, and bus power should be switched off before installation.
The main device should be installed in a dry location. The external stainless-steel sensor sleeve is waterproof, but it is not intended for permanent installation in hostile environments such as seawater.
