The USB gateway allows you to connect a PC, laptop or tablet with Microsoft Windows, Mac OS or Linux to the NMEA 2000 network. Programs for maritime navigation installed on the PC will be able to receive data from the NMEA 2000 network, including course, speed, coordinates, wind direction and speed, depth, AIS messages from other ships and aircraft, as well as other navigation data.

The device acts as a bi-directional gateway. The software installed on the PC has the ability to transmit data to the NMEA 2000 network, which allows, for example, sending AIS data from the PC to the navigation display or controlling the autopilot.
Operating modes:
0183. The device converts data from the NMEA 2000 format to NMEA 0183 and vice versa. The NMEA 0183 format is supported in almost any maritime navigation software, including OpenCPN. Conversion is carried out for all basic data types, including AIS data, routes and waypoints, autopilot control commands.
N2K. The device sends and receives all messages from the NMEA 2000 network in binary format. This mode is supported in Coastal Explorer, Expedition, Polar View, OpenSkipper and some others.
RAW. The device sends and receives messages from the NMEA 2000 network in text format. This mode allows you to write NMEA 2000 network messages to a file and/or observe them in real time using our free CAN Log Viewer program (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux). The protocol is also supported in Expedition 10.
AUTO. In this mode, the device automatically selects the desired mode of operation based on the analysis of the data received from the PC.
Features:
- does not require driver installation on Mac OS X, Windows 10 and Linux;
- allows to control Raymarine autopilot connected via SeaTalk NG network using messages NMEA 0183;
- compatible with J1939 networks;
- high-voltage galvanic isolation between USB and NMEA 2000 network.
Modifications:
- with a sealed USB socket (IP67) or with a leaky USB plug on the cable;
- with SeaTalk NG or NMEA 2000 Micro Male connector
Average current consumption from USB port: 35 mA. Current consumption from NMEA 2000 network: 13 mA. Cable length (from case to connector): 450 mm. Body length: 54 mm.
