The Vetus UNIFL1630 Uniflex 16 Flexible Coupling provides robust, low-vibration, and precisely aligned power transfer between the engine and propeller shaft. This coupling compensates for angular misalignments up to 2°, automatically centering the shaft relative to the gearbox, ensuring smoother and quieter operation, even when using flexible engine mounts or self-aligning bearings.
The flexible rubber element effectively dampens torsional vibrations and reduces mechanical stress on drivetrain components, contributing to longer service life and increased onboard comfort. The coupling is axially and radially secured against shearing, ensuring safe operation under all conditions.
Featuring a 4” flange and clamping hub for Ø 30 mm shafts, the Uniflex 16 installs quickly and easily without the need for shaft tapering or keyway cutting. It fits directly onto Hurth, Velvet, Technodrive, ZF, and PRM gearboxes, while adapter flanges are available for Volvo, Yanmar, and Kanzaki gearboxes.
