The Vetus UNIFL1640 Uniflex 16 Flexible Coupling provides reliable torque transfer and superior vibration isolation between the engine and propeller shaft in marine propulsion systems. It is designed to compensate for angular misalignments up to 2°, automatically centering the shaft on the gearbox flange for balanced, quiet operation.
Thanks to its high-quality rubber damping element, the Uniflex 16 effectively absorbs torsional vibrations and reduces mechanical stress on the engine, gearbox, and bearings. The coupling is axially and radially secured against shearing, ensuring safe performance even under demanding load conditions.
With a 4” flange and a clamping hub for Ø 40 mm shafts, the Uniflex 16 offers quick and easy installation. It requires no keyway cutting or taper machining, simplifying alignment and maintenance. The coupling fits directly on Hurth, Velvet, Technodrive, ZF, and PRM gearboxes and can be adapted for Volvo, Yanmar, and Kanzaki transmissions via optional adapter flanges.
