It features a satin-sheen anodized aluminium frame and a 10 mm dark-smoke acrylic pane. The hatch opens up to 180° and uses friction hinges to hold the lid at any angle. It can be locked fully watertight or in a ventilation position and operated from inside or outside. Cut-out size: 507 × 507 mm. External dimensions: 559 × 559 mm.

The Vetus MAG5151SL Magnus escape hatch is engineered for extreme marine environments, meeting CE Category A1 standards for ocean-going vessels. Designed for hull or deck installation, its flush square form ensures minimal drag and superior aesthetics. The satin sheen anodized aluminium frame combined with a thick 10 mm dark smoke acrylic pane provides strength and durability against offshore exposure.
Four friction hinges allow smooth stepless opening up to 180° and maintain any chosen ventilation position without supports. Four internal/external operable handles enable quick access and secure closure. The hatch can be locked watertight for safety in rough seas or left slightly open to provide a controlled ventilation mode.
