The Vetus BOW7512DI bow thruster is engineered for powerful performance and exceptional onboard safety in compartments where gasoline fumes or other explosive vapors may be present. A fully enclosed ignition-protected housing compliant with ISO 8846 Marine prevents vapor ignition and offers strong corrosion resistance. Delivering 80 kgf thrust at 12 V, it ensures confident vessel handling during docking and low-speed manoeuvring.
The thruster includes an externally resettable automatic fuse for the control loom that maintains protection while simplifying maintenance. Installation is straightforward thanks to included seals, connectors, and mounting components. With the correct accessories, this model may also be used as a stern thruster to provide complete manoeuvring control.
