The Vetus BOW1254DI delivers 140 kgf thrust and ensures safe operation in enclosed engine compartments where flammable vapors might occur. Its ISO 8846 Marine-certified watertight ignition-protected housing prevents vapor ignition and offers enhanced corrosion resistance, making it ideal for demanding marine environments.
Its unique single propeller blade design minimizes cavitation noise and disturbance inside the Ø250 mm tunnel. Spiral gears reduce transmission noise, while a flexible coupling between the motor and tail section lowers vibration for smooth manoeuvring. The thruster includes all required installation accessories and can be used as either a bow or stern thruster when paired with a suitable mounting kit.
