The Plastimo Stainless Steel Safety D Shackles are designed for reliable fastening in marine and industrial applications. Manufactured from corrosion-resistant stainless steel, these shackles feature an innovative double-thread captive pin system that helps prevent accidental loss of the pin during installation or maintenance.
Unlike conventional shackles, the threaded pin first disengages from the locking thread before resting on a secondary thread. The pin can only be removed by completely unscrewing it, greatly reducing the possibility of accidental separation. This design makes the shackles particularly suitable for sailing, rigging and deck hardware where security is essential.
