Clamcleat CL250, known as “The Gap Closer,” is a low-profile cleat designed for 6:1 windsurf downhaul systems using ropes from 3 to 5 mm (1/8–3/16").
The cleat body is manufactured from high-pressure die-cast aluminium to provide a strong yet lightweight construction. Its rollers are made from composite nylon designed to withstand wear from coral sand and other abrasive conditions.
The low-profile design allows the sail to be tensioned closer to the bottom of the mast than with larger cleat arrangements. The CL250 can be mounted on mast extensions or other tubes using rivets or screws.
The cleat provides a compact and cost-effective solution for achieving a 6:1 downhaul ratio in windsurf rigging systems.
