Clamcleat CL237 is a black nylon vertical cleat for 6–12 mm (1/4–1/2") rope, fitted with a manually operated red spring gate that helps prevent unintended rope entry into the cleat. Based on the CL201 design, it uses the same 72 mm mounting centres and can follow the CL201 installation layout, making it suitable for deck-mounted rope-control applications where the line needs to remain free until deliberately cleated.

Clamcleat CL237 Vertical Cleat with Spring Gate for 6–12 mm Rope, Black Nylon
Clamcleat CL237 is a vertical nylon rope cleat designed for ropes from 6 to 12 mm (1/4–1/2") and fitted with a manually operated spring gate.
The red gate can be flipped up by hand to keep the rope out of the cleat teeth, helping prevent unintentional cleating. When the rope needs to be secured, the gate can be moved aside and the line dropped into the cleat in the normal way.
The CL237 is based on the CL201 Vertical Cleat design and uses the same 72 mm mounting centres. The underside may be marked “CL201”, and the CL201 installation drawing can be used as a guide for mounting layout.
The cleat is suitable for deck and general rope-control applications where the line needs to run free until deliberate cleating is required.
