Clamcleat CL240 Racing Major Cleat with Spring Gate for 12–16 mm Rope, Silver Aluminium
Clamcleat CL240 is an aluminium Racing Major cleat designed for ropes from 12 to 16 mm (1/2–5/8") and fitted with a manually operated spring gate.
The red gate can be lifted by hand to keep the rope out of the cleat teeth and help prevent unintended cleating. When the line needs to be secured, the gate can be moved aside and the rope dropped into the cleat in the normal way.
The CL240 is based on the CL220 Racing Major cleat and uses the same 95 mm mounting centres. The CL220 installation drawing can therefore be used as a guide when planning the deck or mounting layout.
The aluminium body provides a strong solution for larger ropes and higher-load applications, while the spring gate allows the line to remain free until deliberate cleating is required.
