Optiparts EX2160 is a pack of three PTFE mast disks designed for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, installed in the mast step opening beneath the lower mast to create a smooth low-friction interface between mast base and hull mast step.
These discs help absorb grit, sand, and abrasive debris that can accumulate inside the mast step, reducing wear on both the mast heel and mast step socket while improving mast rotation smoothness during sailing maneuvers.
Manufactured from PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene), the disks provide excellent low-friction performance, outstanding abrasion resistance, and long-term durability in marine environments.
Ideal for protecting mast step components, extending spar life, and improving rig movement efficiency in both recreational and intensive fleet use.
