Optiparts EX2178 is a performance upgrade block plate for Laser® and ILCA® dinghies, designed to improve cunningham and outhaul control systems by integrating a stainless steel double pad eye mounting plate with twin 20 mm ball bearing blocks.
This upgrade system reduces friction in sail control lines, resulting in smoother adjustment, lighter trimming loads, and more precise sail shape tuning. The stainless steel mounting plate provides durable corrosion-resistant support, while the ball bearing sheaves ensure efficient rope movement under load.
The included 20 mm ball bearing blocks are optimized for control lines up to 6 mm diameter, making the system ideal for high-frequency sail trim adjustments in demanding sailing conditions.
