Osculati DIN 7983 self-tapping screws feature a raised countersunk head with a cross-recessed drive. Their head design combines a tapered underside with a rounded upper surface, providing a neat, slightly raised finish after installation.

The tapered portion of the head fits into a suitably prepared countersunk recess, while the domed upper profile remains visible above the mounting surface. This distinguishes DIN 7983 raised countersunk screws from DIN 7982 flat countersunk self-tapping screws.

The self-tapping thread is designed to form a mating thread in compatible materials. Depending on the workpiece material and thickness, a suitable pilot hole may be necessary. The cross-recessed drive allows installation using a matching screwdriver or driver bit.
