Their folded, two-leg construction allows the legs to be bent apart after insertion through a suitable hole, helping prevent accidental withdrawal. Osculati DIN 94 Stainless Steel Split Cotter Pins Ø1.5–4 mm

Osculati DIN 94 split cotter pins are stainless steel retaining fasteners designed to secure compatible mechanical components and prevent unwanted movement or withdrawal. They feature a folded metal construction with a loop at one end and two split legs at the other.

During installation, the cotter pin is inserted through a suitable hole in a clevis pin, shaft, bolt or other compatible component. The protruding legs are then bent apart to retain the pin in position.

Unlike spring-loaded locking pins, DIN 94 split pins use a simple mechanical retaining method without an integrated spring mechanism. They are generally replaced after removal rather than repeatedly straightened and reused.

The stainless steel construction provides corrosion resistance for suitable marine, outdoor and general mechanical applications. The range includes four dimensional configurations with nominal diameters from 1.5 to 4 mm and lengths from 25 to 50 mm.

Each size is supplied in a blister pack containing a specified number of split pins.
