DIN 966 raised countersunk head machine screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and designed for metric threaded fastening applications. They feature a raised countersunk head with a tapered underside and a slightly domed upper surface, providing a neat, visible head finish after installation.

The tapered section of the head fits into a suitably prepared countersunk recess, while the rounded upper portion remains slightly raised above the mounting surface. The cross-recessed drive allows tightening and removal using a compatible screwdriver bit.

These machine screws have metric threads intended for use with matching nuts or pre-threaded holes. Unlike self-tapping screws, they are not designed to form their own threads during installation.
