DIN 965 A2 Stainless Steel Cross-Recessed Countersunk Head Machine Screws M3–M8, 10–100 mm
DIN 965 machine screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and feature a flat countersunk head with a cross-recessed drive. They are designed for threaded fastening applications where the screw head should sit flush with the surrounding surface.
The countersunk head fits into a suitably prepared recess, providing a smooth installation surface. The cross-recessed drive allows tightening and removal using a compatible screwdriver bit. These screws have metric threads intended for fastening with matching nuts or pre-threaded holes rather than forming their own threads in the workpiece.
A2 stainless steel provides corrosion resistance for general mechanical, equipment and assembly applications, including indoor and outdoor installations where this material grade is suitable.
The range includes 34 dimensional configurations across five nominal metric thread sizes: M3, M4, M5, M6 and M8. Available lengths range from 10 to 100 mm depending on the selected thread size. Each configuration has an individual FNI part number.
