The Tecnoseal 01035 and 01035MG are sacrificial propeller nut anodes designed for Varifold VF108 and VF120 folding propellers with three or four blades. Both versions correspond to original Varifold part number VF3AN and are available in zinc or magnesium for different marine operating environments.

These anodes feature a cylindrical body with a rounded, dome-shaped end and an internally threaded mounting cavity. Their nut-shaped construction is intended for installation on the corresponding Varifold folding propeller assembly, providing a replaceable sacrificial component that helps protect electrically connected underwater metallic parts against galvanic corrosion.

Both variants share identical dimensions: 52 mm (2.05 in) overall height, 41 mm (1.61 in) outside diameter and an M16 × 2 internal thread specification. The zinc anode weighs 0.36 kg, while the magnesium version weighs 0.09 kg.

Varifold Propeller Compatibility

The Tecnoseal VF3AN replacement anodes are specified for the following Varifold folding propeller configurations:

Both material variants share the same physical dimensions and thread specification. Before ordering, verify the original Varifold reference VF3AN and confirm the M16 × 2 mounting thread against the existing component.

Design and Mounting Configuration

The anode features a cylindrical, nut-shaped body with a rounded closed end and an internally threaded cavity accessible from the opposite end. The manufacturer's technical drawing specifies an overall height of 52 mm, an outside diameter of 41 mm and an M16 × 2 thread.

The zinc and magnesium versions share the same mounting geometry, allowing the appropriate sacrificial material to be selected without changing the dimensional specification.

Correct identification of the internal thread and propeller model is important for selecting the replacement anode.

Galvanic Corrosion Protection

The Tecnoseal Varifold propeller nut anodes are designed to provide sacrificial galvanic corrosion protection for compatible underwater metallic propeller components. When correctly installed with suitable electrical contact, the sacrificial material corrodes preferentially, helping reduce corrosion of the protected components.

• Zinc: Commonly used for sacrificial corrosion protection in saltwater environments.
