Vetus WOA000Z Weld-On Zinc Hull Anode Rectangular 0.68 kg
The Vetus WOA000Z is a rectangular weld-on zinc hull anode developed for effective cathodic protection of underwater metal components on vessels operating in saltwater and brackish environments. Zinc anodes are recommended for these conditions due to their stable electrochemical behavior and controlled consumption rate. This anode is manufactured from high-purity zinc in accordance with MIL-A-18001K specifications, ensuring consistent and reliable corrosion protection.
For vessels primarily operating in freshwater, aluminium anodes are recommended, as aluminium offers a greater potential difference under high-resistance conditions. However, in saltwater and brackish water, zinc remains the optimal solution. The WOA000Z is supplied with galvanized steel tags, allowing direct welding to metal hulls for permanent and low-profile installation. Its compact size makes it suitable for localized protection or installation in confined areas.
