Vetus WOA003Z Weld-On Zinc Hull Anode Rectangular 2.27 kg
The Vetus WOA003Z is a rectangular weld-on zinc hull anode engineered for effective cathodic protection of underwater metal components on vessels operating in saltwater and brackish environments. Zinc anodes are recommended for these conditions due to their stable electrochemical behavior and controlled consumption rate. This anode is manufactured from high-purity zinc in accordance with MIL-A-18001K specifications, ensuring consistent and dependable corrosion protection.
For vessels primarily operating in inland (fresh) waters, aluminium anodes are recommended, as aluminium provides a greater potential difference under high electrical resistance conditions. In saltwater and brackish water, however, zinc remains the optimal solution. The WOA003Z is supplied with galvanized steel tags, allowing direct weld-on installation to metal hulls for a low-profile and permanent mounting solution. Its increased mass makes it suitable for primary protection zones and larger hull areas.
